Lilia Larcos is a Cyprus-born, Sydney-based contemporary artist. Drawing has been part of her life since childhood. During formative years spent living in South Africa, Larcos developed a fascination with the natural world and the powerful presence of animals. These early encounters sparked a lasting curiosity about strength and the quiet emotional language animals can convey.

Before dedicating herself fully to painting, Larcos built a successful career in branding and conceptual design, founding and leading a boutique agency in Cyprus and developing visual campaigns for international and local brands. This background in concept-driven thinking continues to shape her artistic practice today.

Working primarily in acrylic, Larcos creates vibrant paintings where animals, expressive faces and imagined characters emerge through bold colour, detailed brushwork and playful visual storytelling. She is particularly drawn to contrasts, strength and softness, elegance and humour, realism and surreal imagination.
