About the Artist
Lilia Larcos is a Cyprus-born, Sydney-based contemporary artist. Drawing has been part of her life since childhood, and the years she spent growing up in South Africa sparked a lasting fascination with animals: their strength, their presence, and the quiet emotional language they convey.
Before dedicating herself fully to painting, Lilia built a career in branding and conceptual design, founding and leading a boutique agency in Cyprus. She created campaigns and brand identities for clients including Emporio Armani, Max Mara, BVLGARI, Porsche, Le Méridien, Coca-Cola, Heineken and Nescafé. That concept-driven thinking still shapes every painting she makes.
Her work brings together animals, expressive faces and imagined characters through bold colour, detailed brushwork and playful storytelling. She is drawn to contrasts – strength and softness, elegance and humour, realism and surreal imagination – inviting viewers into rich worlds where personality and curiosity come vividly to life.
